A prayer for Christians facing persecution in Syria
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brothers and sisters in Syria who are enduring fierce persecution for their faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Oh Lord, You see the violence and suffering they face, the gruesome attacks, and the unbearable choices forced upon them by those who seek to silence Your Name.
We ask for Your divine protection over these faithful believers. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and strengthen their spirits to stand firm in their trust in You, even in the shadow of death. Grant them courage, God, to hold fast to the hope of eternal life promised through Christ’s sacrifice.
Father, we pray for those who persecute them, who wield cruelty in the name of a false peace. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to Your truth and love. Turn their hands from violence and their souls toward repentance, that they may know You as the one true God.
Provide comfort to the families torn apart, to the children left orphaned, and to all who mourn. Send Your angels to guard Your people, and let Your Church in Syria shine as a beacon of grace amid this darkness. May their witness draw others to You, even in the midst of such trials.
We plead for Your justice, Lord, knowing that You are sovereign over all. Bring an end to this bloodshed, and let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Until that day, sustain Your people in Syria with Your presence, Your provision, and Your promise of redemption.
In the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and King, we pray, Amen.
